Yes. Echo AI works with WhatsApp Desktop on Windows. You set the virtual cable as your microphone in WhatsApp settings, and your voice is converted live during calls.
What is a virtual audio cable? ▼
It's a free piece of software (VB-Audio Virtual Cable) that creates a virtual microphone on your computer. Echo AI sends converted audio to it, and your call app picks it up as your mic. Installation takes about 2 minutes.
How good is the voice cloning? ▼
We use ElevenLabs, the industry leader in AI voice cloning. With 1–5 minutes of clean audio, the clone is highly realistic. More audio = better quality.
What's the latency during calls? ▼
Typically 1–2 seconds. This is the time it takes to convert your voice through ElevenLabs AI. It's noticeable but manageable for most call scenarios. We're continuously working to reduce this.
